I’m not sure if I would use this over heat because it is glass, but it is beautiful and holds up well to boiling hot water being poured inside to make my tea! I was looking for something to steep fresh ginger and tumeric in and this is perfect. i've recently stopped drinking coffee and now looking to start loose leaf tea as well. This is the perfect size. i'm careful to keep heat low enough to initially boil, then simmer on low for a few minutes. then remove the little basket and turn off the burner. then if i have a second cup just re heat for a couple minutes. I loved this teaset so much I bought one for each of my daughters. They love it too.
It does not drip when I pour which is why I bought it. Just have to be careful not to over shoot the first cup when the pot is full. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a new teapot. - Charles
